What we mean by AI creator

Someone who explores ideas with AI
and makes something better.

You bring your own ideas and judgement to what AI suggests.
By making, choosing and refining, you grow as a creator.

  1. A small notebook sketch developing into several ideas with AI

    Explore new ideas

    Discover fresh perspectives and possibilities.

  2. A creator’s hands selecting drafts and adding their own ideas to shape a finished piece

    Make it your own

Choose an idea you like and bring it to life.

  3. Comparing an early and revised draft, then refining the result by hand

    Refine it. Learn from it.

Compare, revise and build experience for your next project.

WHY KAAA · The culture we build together

It’s okay to pause.
It’s okay to start small.

Look around and try something that catches your interest.
An image, a song, an everyday story or a question.
Go at your own pace and share what you learn.

You don’t have to be a teacher to help someone learn.
It starts with explaining what you know in your own words.

Where would you like to start today?

One small choice is enough.

Give AI context. Give people clarity.

Who is it for? What do they need? What could they do next?
Good prompts and meaningful work start with these questions.

QUICK ANSWERS

New here?
Start with these questions.

About membership, activities and finding an artist or expert.

How do I join as an artist member?+
Artist membership costs KRW 500,000 per year and includes a 30% association course discount. Select artist membership, submit the application, and receive membership guidance after email verification and dues confirmation.
Is a directorship a membership tier?+
A director is an officer contributing to KAAA planning and operations. Paying dues does not grant appointment; the role and appointment procedure are handled separately.
What is an AI creator?+
At KAAA, an AI creator is someone who explores ideas with AI, adds their own thinking and makes better work. You develop your voice and skills through discovering ideas, making things, choosing and refining. You don’t need to be accomplished from day one. One small creation is a good place to start.
Is AI creation only for people who write?+
No. You can start with writing, images, video, music, media art, a project proposal or teaching materials. What matters is adding your thinking and judgement to AI’s suggestions and developing the result. You can join KAAA without previous work or exhibition experience. Membership and a public creator profile are separate processes.
What can I do after joining LINK?+
Enter your real name, email, phone number and location, agree to the privacy terms, then verify your email. Once verified, you’ll see an invitation to the members’ group chat on screen and receive it by email. Use your real name / creator name when joining. The group shares course and event announcements, opportunities, AI tools and members’ experiences. Your phone number helps us identify your membership; your location helps us share relevant local activities. Creator name and interests are optional.
When can I join?+
LINK and ACT accept applications year-round. LINK members receive community access after email verification. ACT applicants verify their email and pay the annual fee using the bank details on the application page or in the email. After checking the payment and application, KAAA provides membership and private group chat instructions. Individual courses, exhibitions and projects have their own schedules and eligibility requirements.
How is ACT different from LINK?+
LINK is our free community membership, with access to the all-member chat. ACT is full membership at KRW 100,000 a year. Alongside the shared group, it includes a full-member chat, information shared specifically with full members and a 10% discount voucher for paid courses. Check the course notice for voucher terms. You can also prepare work records and, if you wish, a public profile; publication requires materials and a separate review. Each activity has its own eligibility, dates, selection and fees. Approved ACT and artist members also receive twelve illustrated samplebooks with completed examples and application activities during their access period.
Why learn AI now?+
Learning AI is about more than operating a tool. It gives you more ways to express the experience, ideas, work and expertise you already have—through images, video, teaching, content and projects—and to respond to new collaborations.
What makes KAAA different from other AI courses or communities?+
We aim to connect learning with creating, sharing, documenting and meeting people. Exhibition isn’t everyone’s goal. You can choose a path that suits you: a first piece, portfolio, institutional project, teaching, professional practice or community exchange.
What is the difference between AI-assisted art and ABOUT AI work?+
AI-assisted work uses AI during its creation. ABOUT AI work explores questions that AI raises about life and society. The tool you use and the subject you explore are different dimensions; one work can belong to both.
Can I invite an AI creator or artist to an exhibition or event?+
Yes. Tell us about your exhibition, media art programme, talk, workshop, performance or institutional project. We can discuss introductions to full members whose public profiles and areas of practice suit your needs.
How do I enquire about an AI media artist?+
Share the event name, dates, venue, desired artwork or programme, audience and budget range if available. We’ll review the brief and members’ public areas of practice to consider suitable candidates.
Can beginners join KAAA LINK or ACT?+
Yes. LINK is free community membership for news and shared chat access. ACT is full membership at KRW 100,000 a year, with pathways to exhibitions, projects, teaching and Artist Record preparation. Neither requires a portfolio or previous experience just to get started.
Will my full-member profile be published automatically?+
No. Public profiles are published only for members who request one, prepare their work samples and profile materials, and complete the association’s review.
Can you help me prepare exhibition records or artist activity certification materials?+
We can help you organise exhibition documentation, artwork and event photos, press coverage and Artist Records, and check for missing evidence. Final approval for artist activity certification and the Artist Pass rests with the relevant institutions under their own criteria.
